The Atterbury & Associates team provided civil engineering and construction support services for the driveway and home site development for this Sweetwater Springs Estate. This recently completed project is located in the rolling hills of Forestville on Sweetwater Springs Road. Services provided by our team include grading of the home site as well as a new driveway, drainage design for both surface and sub-surface water, utility design, and septic design.

The driveway design included the installation of a new bridge and support walls to cross a tributary of Porter Creek. Coordination with the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers was required by our team for the implementation of this bridge crossing, and culvert installations.

Drainage improvements included the installation of culverts to transport water below the new driveway, and cut-off swales with rock dissipaters to prevent run-on. At the home site, roof drain collection as well as sub-surface moisture barriers were utilized.

The utility design consisted of a domestic water system and storage facilities, design of an irrigation network to provide water throughout the ranch, and hydro-generated electrical, pressure and gravity septic utilities, and fire protection utilizing the swimming pool as a draft source.

The Atterbury & Associates team has provided all site and utility related design for this new commercial facility. This commercial development is currently in construction, in which Atterbury & Associates is providing construction support services.

The completed commercial facility will house the manufacturing of pizza ovens, demonstrations of the product, and sales, in the soon to be erected 15,000 square foot structure.

During the planning and design phases of this project, Atterbury & Associates performed plan development for planning and public hearing purposes, grading for ADA compliant pathways and parking lots, storm water calculations and retention structure design, building pad excavation design, loading dock configuration, and design of utility extensions from nearby streets.

Expected completion of construction in January of 2015.
