Grading and drainage improvements were designed for the new driveway which includes the installation of a new culvert. Our office designed the fine grading adjacent to the house to conform to the multiple new residential structures. The home site drainage design utilizes the installation of two new storm water retention basins.
A utility design was also designed by our team for this Santa Rosa project. Water, electrical, and communication lines will extend from the beginning of the driveway to the home site. Fire protection will be achieved by using a draft hydrant connected to the new swimming pool. Gas service will be provided by a propane tank. Sewer flows are collected in a septic tank, transferred to a pump chamber, and ultimately pressurized to the new leach field.
A storm water pollution prevention plan was required by the State for disturbance resulting from construction activities. This required our office to coordinate with contractors and the design team to stay compliant with State regulations and requirements to minimize the risk of sediment transfer and erosion.
This construction project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2014.
